Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev discussed political, economic cooperation, and regional security issues with Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran Ali Akbar Ahmadian.

Axar.az reports that the Assistant to the President wrote about this on the social network.

"I met with Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran Ali Akbar Ahmadian as part of my visit to Tehran. During the meeting, as a continuation of the discussions held in Baku, we exchanged views on political, economic cooperation, and regional security issues between the two countries and particularly noted the importance of the North-South Transport Corridor," he said.

It should be noted that Hikmat Hajiyev is on a visit to Iran.
